In an op-ed for the New York Times, environmentalist David Victor wrote that Trump’s EPA is “not a neutral agency, but rather a political, ideological, and economic instrument for the Trump Administration.”
“Trump’s EPA has been the subject of bipartisan criticism for its aggressive actions to dismantle the Clean Air Act, and its aggressive use of the Antiquities Act to seize public lands and other natural resources for fossil fuel extraction,” Victor wrote.
“Trump and his advisors have made clear that they are not committed to the rule of law and that they have no intention of respecting the rights of Americans to use their natural resources responsibly.”
