Young people are more focused on food and drink than shopping

Young people today are more interested in the outdoors and spending time with friends, according to a new study from the British School of Economic and Social Research (BSESR).

The study found that over the past two decades, young people have increasingly focused on the outdoors over spending time in shops.

The research, published by the BMJ, is based on the first UK-wide survey of young people.

Young people today spend more time outside and are more likely to buy snacks and other products in the shop than in the home, the survey found.

Youngs are also more likely than their parents to have bought food online and to have a food allergy.

But the report also found that young people are not more likely now than they were a decade ago to shop online, having spent more time on their phone and mobile phones than in shops in the past decade.

This is partly due to a lack of social media use among young people today, said the study’s lead author, Prof. Mark Porter, from the University of Oxford.

It is also down to differences in the way young people shop.

The BESR study surveyed more than 1,000 18- to 34-year-olds in the UK from the period January 1, 2019, to March 1, 2020.

The study also looked at other social media habits such as internet browsing habits and shopping habits.

The findings suggest that the rise in shopping for food and drinks is a result of the increasing importance of food and beverages in everyday life, Porter said.
